first veggie (peas) - notice him opening wide!
Will has been constantly eating for about 2 months now (since I started him on solid food). He has also gained roughly 4 pounds in the last 2 months! He now weighs about 18 pounds according to our bathroom scale. This was a much needed growth spurt since he had been in the 3rd percentile for his weight. He has also been nursing more vigorously during this time, so it's not only the solid food that is helping him pack on the pounds - after all, fruits and vegetables don't have that many calories - but the 3 meals a day don't hurt. He is getting so strong and loves to pull himself up and do the pre-crawl "rock", along with a worm-like movement that usually can get him to the nearest toy. He loves to play peek-a-boo and eat cheerios and puffs all by himself, along with sips of water from his sippy cup that he "asks" for when he needs a drink (by "ask" I mean general yelling and a nod in the direction of the cup, but it's a certain yell that he does only in that specific situation). He also says "da-da", which makes John very proud. I am of course trying to get him to say "ma-ma", but so far no luck. He loves playing with Lauren. Their two favorite games are 1) rolling a ball back and forth and 2) screaming (happily) at each other with their faces really close together, laughing, then taking a breath and screaming some more. He's a happy little guy!

in the 2 months between tristan's 4 & 6-month checkups he only gained 12 ounces. which now puts him in the less than 3rd percentile. strangely enough he has been eating more & more & more so i have no idea why he's not gaining!! dr.'s not worried though, that's how logan was too. anyway i love the pics of will. he's so sweet! will you be in j-town any during the holidays??
