Celebrating Potty Training with an Alphabet Train
I'm happy to say that, except for nights, Will is officially potty trained! This happened just before Christmas. He'd been earning stars on his "potty train" chart for each success (along with M&M's), and he gets a smiley face for each day that he keeps his diaper dry and clean. We told him that when he gets a whole chart full of smiley faces (one full week of keeping the diaper completely clean and dry), he gets to choose a special thing to do. The day arrived to celebrate his achievement, and Will's greatest request was.........to do a puzzle with Mommy :). We were thinking something a little more "special", but come to think of it, I can't think of a whole lot that's more special than spending time with this little guy. Look how proud he is of his puzzle!

How can he be old enough to potty train?!?! Sigh.
so jealous! I keep thinking Tristan is ready, because he'll ask to wear underpants & keep them dry for half a day or longer. But then he'll ask for a diaper again. I think he wants to be a 'big boy' and be potty trained, but he's much to busy to stop & go to the bathroom al the time. Seriously ready to be done buying diapers!! (Brooklyn is already in her cloth, which I am loving!)
Will is still wearing diapers (we're finishing out our supply while keeping peace of mind), just one per day since he's been keeping them clean. I think I'm the one not ready to go all out for underwear! Plus, I'm not sure what would happen if I just never mentioned going to the bathroom at all. Right now I'm still saying "Ok, it's time to go to the bathroom now" rather than just letting him tell me when he needs to go. We'll soon find out what happens - I'm going to try that before we run out of diapers!
Yay! Glad you are having success. I saw you checked out my blog and I decided to look at yours too. My little one has the same shirt by the way.
