Behind....

We're still here..... Well, actually I should say we are back :). Meg's wedding was wonderful - Lauren made it down the aisle this time and Will looked cute in his suit (again), and I had lots of fun hanging out with the girls (Meg's friends that I'd heard so much about but hadn't spent any time with most of them). It was a great time! John went on home after the wedding and the kids and I went to Joplin to spend the week with my parents. Lauren and Will had their first trip to Chuck E. Cheese (big fun), we spent a fair amount of time at the park, Lauren had her first bike ride (in the child seat my dad put on the back of his bike) and of course lots of time was spent just playing with Grandma and Grandpa. We then visited my great grandparents (Lauren and Will's great great grandparents) in Northwest MO, where John met up with us and then we all came back home. Whew! We all had fun but of course Lauren was going full force the whole time we were gone and I don't think Will slept through the night the entire time (even though he's consistently slept through the night since he was 5 weeks old), so we all had some sleep to catch up on when we got back - the joys of traveling with small children!

I think the dust is finally beginning to settle from the trip. It hasn't helped that Will has been majorly teething this week (and for the last two months in general, but this week it was definitely elevated a notch). Whoever said that if you're first kid has a lot of trouble with their teeth then not to worry because the second probably won't is WRONG (and believe me, lots of people have told me this - they were my words of comfort every time Lauren got a tooth and would have a horrible time). So far Will has had every bit as much trouble as Lauren, so I'm afraid we're in for another 2 years of teething :(. I can't complain, though, because aside from the teething issue they're the two best kids anyone could ask for!

As you can see from the title of this post, I'm feeling a bit behind in general! The day to day tasks of keeping up with Lauren and (teething) Will don't leave a whole lot of extra time, and I have to admit that lately most of that extra time that hasn't been spent unpacking and getting everything back in order after being gone for a week and a half has been spent watching the Olympics :). Sorry no picture for this post - I'll put some up when I get them uploaded or else they'll be on our shutterfly page soon. I'm (slowly) making progress on catching up with pictures!
